MacIntyre School is looking for an experienced SEN teacher with leadership experience to join the school leadership team.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of children and young people with learning disabilities and/or autism, and will be able to maximize pupil progress through setting high standards and promoting effective teaching and learning. They will also be flexible and creative, seeking to find the best individualised approach for each young person to help them achieve a life that makes sense to them.
In addition to their teaching experience, the successful candidate will also be a team player able to motivate, lead, support and challenge others. They will be a strong and effective communicator, able to lead meetings with external stakeholders, produce written reports and train staff. They will also be a leader with vision, creativity and enthusiasm to support the continued development of the school.
MacIntyre School is a vibrant and diverse 41-week residential/day school with superb facilities and resources. We support children and young people aged 10-19 who have severe learning disabilities, autism, complex behaviors and communication difficulties.
