Amerisourcebergen foundation scholarship, A scholarship program has been established by the AmerisourceBergen Foundation to help associates’ kids who want to go to college or a vocational-technical institution to continue their education. Each year, scholarships are available for full-time study at a recognized university or college in the US or Canada.
Scholarship America®, the biggest national provider of scholarships and other education support programs for businesses, foundations, associations, and people, oversees the administration of this program. Awards are given out regardless of country origin, sexual orientation, gender, sexual orientation, race, or any other category.
Eligibility
For consideration in the AmerisourceBergen Foundation Scholarship Program, candidates must:
- Be dependent* children of regular full-time or part-time AmerisourceBergen employees who, as of the application deadline, have worked there for at least six (6) months.
*Dependent children are those who reside in the associate’s home or who are mostly supported by the associate. They might be biological, step-, or legally adopted.*
- Be seniors or graduates of high school who intend to attend or who are currently enrolled full-time in undergraduate studies at a recognized two- or four-year college, university, or vocational technical institution in the United States or Canada for the duration of the forthcoming academic year.
- Have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent) if you’re enrolled in a two-year college or a vocational-technical school. Have a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent) if you’re enrolled in a four-year institution.
Prize Amounts
Four (4) grants of $10,000 each will be given to beneficiaries enrolled in traditional four-year colleges or universities, while four (4) awards of $5,000 will be given to recipients enrolled in community college or vocational-technical schools.
However, students may reapply to the program every year for four consecutive years as long as they satisfy the eligibility requirements, even though awards are not renewable.
Only undergraduate studies is eligible for awards.
Notification
In late February, applicants will get notifications.
The awarding of scholarships
For the AmerisourceBergen Foundation, Scholarship America manages scholarship payments. In the middle of July, payments are made in one lump sum.
Required Documents
You must upload the following document(s) with your application:
- a complete and current transcript of grades. Not acceptable are grade reports. Transcripts must include the student’s name, school name, course grade, credit hours, and term taken.
- the first two pages of the associate’s most recent tax return, which were required to complete the Financial Information section (Please black out SSN).
NOTE: You must upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately if you are giving SAT or ACT test results and those results are not shown on your high school transcript. These grades are not necessary if you are uploading your college transcript.
The electronic submission of all needed papers is a requirement for your application to be accepted.
